Christmas Updates
Slides & Zoom Links for the Dec. 24, 4pm & 10pm services will be sent out Tuesday morning, Dec 24.
The Church Office will be closed from Dec. 25 through Jan. 1 Regular office hours will resume on Thursday Jan. 2nd. Note there will not be a Weekly Email on Friday Dec 27th
Christmas Day If you want to go to a church service on Christmas Day, St. John the Baptist in Pointe-Claire will have one at 10 am, as will St George, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue.
December 29 - On Sunday December 29, we will participate in the West Island ecumenical Christmas service at Merging Waters United Church, 24 Maple, in Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue.
Christmas Basket Donations - A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the Christmas baskets, packed them and delivered them. Thanks to all of you, 6 needy families in Dorval will be celebrating the holidays with the meat/fish of their choice, tea or coffee, 3 pounds of potatoes, onions and carrots, 2 pounds of clementines, 1 dozen eggs and many assorted non perishables and small gifts. In addition each family received a $150 Walmart card and a $150 Maxi card along with $130 or $150 cash. You are truly generous and amazing!

St Michael's Mission Christmas Tree - The tree will remain up until Epiphany (Jan 6, 2025) Place your donation on the tree itself or in the bin provided. Suggestions include warm socks, new under wear, long underwear, hats, mitts, gloves, scarves and belts.
Food Donations - The Food of the Month for December is cereal.
Messy Church will meet on January 10th (not the 3rd). Contributions of food are still welcome – as are participants and volunteers!. See the sign up sheet on the door in the Narthex.
Annual Vestry Reports- If you are responsible for submitting an annual report they are due no later than Friday Jan 17. Please contact the office if there are any issues that conflict with the submission date.
End of Year Donations - If you normally send end-of-year contributions to the church in the mail and are concerned about how to do so this year with the postal strike, please contact the office and Stacey Neale, who has kindly offered to do so, will arrange to pick up your envelope. You can also get in touch with Stacey directly at sj.neale@sympatico.ca

Church Calendars - We are currently sold out of Church calendars for 2025 but are still able to reorder if we can get together a minimum order of 20 ( best price break)
If you would like to place an order for delivery in January contact the office by Jan 3rd 2025.
Tis the Season for coughs and colds. If you are concerned about being safe while at church we have made masks and hand sanitizer available as you enter. Don't forget we also have a state of the art air purifying system that was installed during Covid that continues to run 24/7.
Coffee with Rev'd Grace - You can meet with Grace for coffee and conversation every Friday at Non Solo Pane (in Dorval) from 1-2:30. The last date for coffee this year will be Friday Dec. 20th and then Grace will return to her regular schedule starting on Jan. 17, 2025

Help Wanted
Children's Corner Attendant– we’re hoping to reinstate a Children’s Corner Attendant as an official role on Sunday mornings. If you could be the one to supervise the children once every 6-8 weeks, please let Grace or Laura know.
Chalice Bearers We are also once again recruiting Chalice Bearers. If you would like to be trained to serve the wine at Communion, let Grace or Dion know!

Meditatio: Medatio takes place Mondays at 1:00 in the Chapel. This mediation group is open to everyone who would like to share some quiet time for peaceful reflection. Men's Coffee and Conversation - Tuesday mornings at 11 a.m. for an hour or so we meet at Tim Hortons Coffee shop at 187G Hymus in Pointe-Claire. (It's at the other end of the Walmart mall)
Men's Monthly Saturday Breakfast - Please let me know by email if you plan to attend. This information helps me when I go to do the shopping. We meet at 08:00 for cooking and set up; eat at 09:00. Contact Mark Weatherley at mark.weatherley@sympatico.ca for more information.

Weekly Email Submissions must be sent to the office (via email or phone) each Thursday no later 12:00 pm. This will ensure your message will be included in the Weekly Email.

Make sure to include your phone number and/ or email.
People placed on the list will remain for 6 consecutive weeks unless a request is made to have their name removed. If you would like their name to be put back on the list, please contact the office.

Ways to Donate to Support the Work of All Saints by the Lake
If making your gift into the plate at any service (weekly, monthly, or occasional), enclose your cheque or cash in an envelope with your name and (ideally) number, directing its use as you desire (i.e. General, building, special project or mission, etc.). Guest envelopes in the sanctuary may be used for this purpose. Your unused giving envelopes from previous years may also be used (just change the date).
